This is the first US pressing featuring mirrored images of the painting The Robing Of The Bride by Max Ernst (1940) on the front cover. The inside of the sleeve contains The Triumph Of Death by Pieter Breughel the Elder (c. 1562) which was omitted on subsequent pressings. The earliest editions of this press had a printing error where the cover was printed too dark; this was rectified on the remainder of the pressing.
