A look at the bustling local music scene in Northampton (aka 'The New Barcelona') 30 years after the Original Northampton Under Glass release.

This compilation was originally released as a cassette by the Northampton Musicians Collective in 1981, through Glass Records. Thirty years on this reissue provides an opportunity to hear the 'sound of young Northampton' from the early 80's. Music of the post-punk years influenced by the challenging political and social times of the miners strike, war in the Falklands, Rock against Racism and the Thatcher government.
