The release of this album marks the culmination of six years work, producing the recordings that make up the Strathglass Trilogy. Affric marks the end of a long and fascinating journey for me, a journey of musical introspection during which I drew inspiration from one of the world's most beautiful wilderness areas. My history drew me there and I felt compelled to produce soundtracks to these places that I have loved all my life. This has been my attempt to capture their colour and their magic in music.
