My grandma Alice passed away a little over a year ago. I went to her memorial and found out so much stuff about her I didn't know. Most of it was how similar we were. At the service a poem of hers was read called Empty Chair. She wrote it after coming home from the memorial for her husband Howard while sitting next to his empty chair. Howard was her third husband to pass and the third empty chair to sit beside in her lifetime. It really touched me. She was a tough broad and a real firecracker. She wasn't always my favorite lady which kept us at a distance but after learning more about her I sure wish we could have been closer. Maybe we are now? I recorded this song in her memory when I got home.
