He has been nominated for a Grammy(R) award for his notes to Ray Charles' Genius & Soul: The 50th Anniversary Collection. With Weldon A. McDougal III, Dahl is the author of Motown: The Golden Years.

Keith Hughes of Wantage, England, is the author of Don't Forget The Motor City, a Motown discography, and he has written articles for a variety of soul magazines. His research has appeared in a number of CD compilations.
