All of the works on this CD were recorded on 3-track half-inch tape, using three Telefunken 201 microphones. The Miraculous Mandarin and Divertimento were recorded on July 8 and 9, 1964, at Watford Town Hall and first released as SR90416. The Sonata for Two Pianos and Percussion, originally released on SR90515, was recorded at Wembly Town Hall on June 6, 1960.
