Founded in 2010 by Mrs. Constance V. Pathy, the McGill International String Quartet Academy (MISQA) aims to promote the great tradition of string quartet by inviting the most significant practitioners of the genre to share their knowledge and experience with and to educate some of the world's most promising young quartets. Thanks to the outstanding generosity of Mrs. Pathy, we have a unique opportunity to celebrate this pursuit of excellence by offering intensive training and coaching to the next generation of young artists in this field. A training organization, MISQA also organizes and produces concerts. This recording captures some of the best moments of the concerts given by the participating quartets at the 2010 edition. MISQA wishes to thank the musicians for their generosity.

Recorded August 15th to August 26th, 2010.
Made in Canada.
