Art Director of Columbia Records; Atlantic Records, CTI Records and Epic Records. For five years he was a member of the Push Pin Studios. He has also been the Special Sections Design Director for New York Magazine. For two and a half years he worked with Milton Glaser Inc.

Mr Mantel taught graphic design as an adjunct professor at The School of Visual Arts and has been a guest instructor at the Tyler School of Art and at Parsons. Richard is currently an adjunct professor at Cleveland State University.
