Arthur Mathews (born 30 April 1959 in Co Meath, Ireland) is an Irish comedy writer and actor who has either written or contributed to a number of television comedies, such as Father Ted, Big Train and Toast of London. He started off as a music writer at the Hot Press in Ireland.
