Ariel Kalma was a French new-age composer and musician who used rhythms, melodies and grooves from various cultures, ambient atmospheres, modal music, native instruments and nature. He mixed traditional sounds with modern arrangements, used electronica and special effects, played with circular breathing on winds and didgeridoo, and created original sounds from synthesizers. Ariel Kalma'a music was a synthesis of East and West, classical and jazzy elements. This synthesis is simple and natural, dissolving contradictions by themselves.
