Scarea 61 uses multiple site microphone recordings which are mixed and processed to create dynamic collages. This type of sound sourcing gives the work a free roaming feel which combines radically different locations and sounds. A lot of 61's sounds have been collected using a mobile computer sound lab built inside of a Dodge van. Other sounds are from their pre-61 days around Seattle with the Petri Supply label. Finished productions usually involve custom photography.
