Pianist and composer. He graduated from the secondary music school in the classical piano class and the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Warsaw. During his studies he played basketball in the University representation, worked in the mountains as a ski instructor, sang in the choir of the University of Warsaw, and later in the chamber choir Ars Antiqua. In the environment of tourist song found together with his older brother Marcin, as a member of the PUW group created by Marek Majewski. Together with Jan Sobolewski and his sister Barbara they performed at tourist song events in the seventies playing and singing their own songs. His professional stage activity began with the blues group
Gramine, where he was attracted by his friend Lesław Matecki. In Gramine, Stanisław replaced the previous pianist and vocalist,
Ryszard Rynkowski. Then came two years of concert tours in band
Zdzisława Sośnicka. Until the outbreak of martial law, he played with the vocal-group
VOX. In 1982, due to the cessation of concerts in Poland, Stanisław was on a contract in Norway. He spent there over ten years intermittently. In 1989, together with his wife Basia Sobolewska and their Norwegian friend Sigurd Kvikne, they won a competition from western Norway, which was held in Hoyanger presenting their own program. The consequence of this was the recording of the album entitled The White Hotel. After definitive return to the country, Stanisław, together with his wife Basia and friend Lesław Matecki formed in 1994 band
Mikroklimat. At the same time, Stanisław practiced early music, singing in the vocal ensemble of Bornus Consort led by his brother Marcin. He also sang in the band Cantus Firmus led by Włodzimierz Sołtysik. His specialty are choral arrangements. They were available by the famous English band The King’s Singers, some of them were recorded on the album Il canto, and recently the carols of his composition and arrangement appeared in a collection of contemporary carols from around the world published by Oxford University Press. In 1996 it was recorded and released by DUX company, Stanisław’s authors album entitled Missa de Angelis a.d. 1995 was recorded and released by DUX. She received a Fryderyk award nomination. After returning to Poland, Stanisław devotes a lot of time to work, as a session musician and also he has created an album entitled Nostalgic Piano with his own compositions for solo piano.
