She studied at the [l290263]. While a student, she began to freelance with the New Philharmonia Orchestra. After several years working with all the major London orchestras, she joined the Philharmonia Orchestra as Principal Cor Anglais in 1980. Principal Cor Anglais with the London Symphony Orchestra since 1986. As a member of the London Symphony Orchestra, she was the first woman to be elected to the orchestra’s Board of Directors, a role she fulfilled for three years. Professor of Cor Anglais at the Royal College of Music.
