This is a group of young people dedicated to servicing their community. They provide entertainment for conventions, banquets, and community groups whenever possible. Each year around 100 engagements are met.
Each member as a performer is ready to be called on as a soloist at any time. These are the top singers from a choral department of nearly 500 students. The group practices each morning at 7:00 A.M. before school on their own time without school credit. They love to sing and are proud to represent Milwaukie High School wherever they go.
The summer of 1970, the group toured Europe singing for schools, churches, and community groups. The itinerary included Scotland, England, France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, and Holland. The group worked very hard to raise the $20,000 it took to make the trip.
This year the group is planning a trip to Hawaii. A special thanks to all who have helped to make the tours the Pony Pipers make possible.
